ASH PRINCESS
The reason I gave it 4-stars rather than 5 is because I felt the starting of the book was a bit dragged on till the main plot. Also, the clichés were a small part of it. Don't get me wrong, they were not bad ones but they made it easy to guess the next scene.
However, the plot and the story line of the book was hella addictive. The characters are bought to life by out dear author splendidly.
Throughout the book, I fell in love with the Prinz Soren while finding comfort in Blaise's relationship with Theo. I found myself enjoying the evening tea with Cress while gossiping with her. I felt, the hatred for the Kaiser when Theo has to wear the ash crown and be punished brutally for mistakes that weren't committed by her. It was even the side characters that took my heart. Art would always keep Theo on her feet and Heron would make me feel warm in my heart. Suffice to say, I would love a Art and Heron in my life.
Although I must admit that I see Theo only with Soren. Don't come at me, I just know that they belong. It's and enemy to lover trope after all. But I would love Blaise as my bff.
There were certain moments in the book where my eyes filled up with tears. For instance, the death of the Kaiserin or when she had the heartfelt discussion with Theo. Along with the death of Ampelio and Elpis.
The ending of the book threw me of my trail completely and I am eager to start Lady Smoke and go though the journey along with our Queen. Who cares about finals right?
